How to grind bolts (**now with the crash patch**): -kill an enemy -throw a bomb and as soon as the bomb comes out, transform into giant clank -hold start and square as soon as the screen goes black, so that the transformation cutscene will be instaskipped and you will buffer a punch instead of a bomb -punch twice to overlap the bomb with giant clank for up to 64 frames (the more the better) -die (take a look at your bolt count, **IMPORTANT!!**) -after respawning, look at your bolt count and when you've gotten around **~7k bolts** press triangle to transform into giant clank (you get the remaining 1k after the explosions are over) -wait until the explosions **are over** and then redo the cycle (it's important to not quit giant clank too fast so the last explosion actually goes off before you're back to ratchet) this way you always reset the anti-farm mechanic on the enemy and can get 8k explosions every time. you should aim to get around ~190-196k bolts on the 1st visit, and rest on the 2nd visit (you should also get the gold bolt at the start of 2nd visit because a reload is not necessary if the grind is done in this way) below is an example video of a single grind cycle. in the video, the *"exploding frames"* mean how many explosions you got before entering giant clank. that amount should always be less than the *"giant clank hits"*, which tells you how many of the 64 slots in the hit table you filled up with the bomb glove before dying. usually the maximum amount of giant clank hits you can get is 58/59, because there is a conveyer belt in the distance that is not loaded in if you don't get close to it, so the canisters above it blow up on each other and fill up the hit table 3 hits at a time with set intervals.
